Welcome to Dropline! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using Dropline, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account via Google Sign-In or email/password, we collect your email address, display name, and profile photo (if provided by Google).
- User-Generated Content: Lines you create, submit for community review, collections you organize, and usage reports you submit.
- Interaction Data: Your likes, bookmarks, views, shares, and ratings of pickup lines.
- Language Preference: Your selected app language (English or French).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app (screens visited, features used, time spent).
- Push Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to send you notifications about line approvals and updates.
- Advertising IDs: Google Advertising ID (Android) or IDFA (iOS) for showing personalized ads via Google AdMob.
- Log Data: IP address, timestamp, and request details when you interact with our backend API (stored temporarily for debugging).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide Core Functionality: Display personalized pickup lines, manage your collections, sync your data across devices.
- User-Generated Content: Allow you to create personal lines and submit lines for community approval.
- Notifications: Send push notifications about line approvals, rejections, or app updates.
- Advertising: Show relevant ads via Google AdMob (rewarded ads and app open ads). You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
- Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and fix bugs.
- Personalization: Show content in your preferred language and tailor recommendations based on your interactions.
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share data with:
3.1 Service Providers
- Google Firebase: For authentication, database storage (Firestore), push notifications (FCM), and hosting. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google Cloud Platform: Our backend API runs on Google Cloud Run.
- Google AdMob: For displaying ads. AdMob may collect advertising IDs and usage data for ad personalization. AdMob Privacy Policy
3.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
3.3 Business Transfers
If Dropline is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred to the new owner (you will be notified).
4. Data Retention
- Account Data: Stored until you delete your account.
- User-Generated Lines: Retained as long as your account is active or until you delete them.
- Interaction Data (likes, bookmarks): Deleted when you remove the interaction or delete your account.
- Notifications: Stored in Firestore; you can delete them manually.
- Backend Logs: Temporary logs with user IDs are kept for 30 days for debugging, then auto-deleted.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Access and Update
You can view and edit your profile, language preference, and created content within the app.
5.2 Delete Your Data
- Account Deletion: Contact us at devkadimi@gmail.com to request full account deletion.
- Specific Data: You can delete individual lines, collections, or interactions within the app.
5.3 Opt-Out of Notifications
Disable push notifications in your device settings (Settings → Apps → Dropline → Notifications).
5.4 Data Portability (GDPR/CCPA)
Request a copy of your data by emailing us at devkadimi@gmail.com.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:

- ✅ HTTPS encryption for all API requests
- ✅ Backend API validates user IDs via headers
Note: No system is 100% secure. Use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication if available.
7. Children's Privacy
Dropline is NOT intended for users under 13 years old (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at devkadimi@gmail.com.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers, which may be located outside your country. By using the app, you consent to this transfer. We ensure Firebase complies with GDPR and other privacy regulations.
9. Third-Party Links
The app may contain links to external sites (e.g., when sharing content). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be notified via in-app notifications or email.
11. Your Consent
By using Dropline, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If you disagree, please discontinue use and contact us to delete your account.
