Terms of Service

Welcome to Dropline! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dropline mobile application ("App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Dropline, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to use this App. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
- You can sign up via Google Sign-In or email/password.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must provide accurate and truthful information.
3.2 Account Security
- You are solely responsible for all activities under your account.
- Notify us immediately at devkadimi@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.
4. User-Generated Content
4.1 Content You Create
Dropline allows you to:
- Create personal pickup lines (private to you)
- Submit lines for community approval (public if approved)
- Rate and report usage outcomes for existing lines
- Organize lines into collections
4.2 Content Standards
You agree NOT to submit content that:
- Is hateful, discriminatory, or promotes violence
- Contains explicit sexual content, nudity, or pornography
- Harasses, bullies, or threatens individuals
- Violates copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
- Contains spam, scams, or malicious links
- Impersonates another person or entity
- Violates any local, national, or international law
⚠️ Warning: Submitted lines are reviewed by our team before approval. Content violating these standards will be rejected, and repeated violations may result in account suspension.
4.3 Content Ownership and License
- You retain ownership of the content you create.
- By submitting content to the community, you grant Dropline a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the App.
- Personal lines (not submitted) remain private and are only visible to you.
4.4 Content Moderation
- We reserve the right to review, approve, reject, or remove any user-generated content at our discretion.
- Approved lines become part of the community library and may be viewed by all users.
- We are not responsible for user-generated content and do not endorse any opinions expressed by users.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Dropline only for lawful purposes. You must NOT:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to abuse the App
- Scrape or collect data from the App without permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with other users' ability to use the App
- Circumvent content approval processes
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 App Ownership
The Dropline App, including its design, code, features, and curated content, is owned by Dropline and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
6.2 Community Content
Pickup lines in the community library are either:
- User-submitted (licensed to us as described above)
- Curated by our team (public domain or created in-house)
6.3 Trademarks
"Dropline" and the Dropline logo are trademarks of Dropline. You may not use them without written permission.
7. Usage Reports and Ratings
When you rate a line or submit a usage report (e.g., "This line worked!"), you agree that:
- Your report is truthful and based on actual experience
- Reports are anonymous and aggregated into line statistics
- We may use this data to improve line recommendations
- False or spam reports may result in account suspension
8. Third-Party Services
Dropline uses third-party services, including:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, database, notifications
- Google Cloud Platform: Backend API hosting
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms:
9. Disclaimers
9.1 "As-Is" Basis
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including:
- Accuracy or reliability of content
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Fitness for a particular purpose
9.2 Real-World Use
⚠️ Important: Dropline is for entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee that using any pickup line will result in success, dates, or positive outcomes. Use lines responsibly and respectfully. We are not liable for any consequences arising from real-world use of content in the App.
9.3 User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for how you use the content in real-life situations. Always respect others' boundaries and consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dropline and its developers shall NOT be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or reputation
- Damages arising from user-generated content
- Damages from third-party services (Firebase, Google Cloud)
- Hacking, data breaches, or unauthorized access (despite our security measures)
Maximum Liability: In any case, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App (currently $0, as the App is free).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dropline, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your user-generated content
- Your use of the App in violation of applicable laws
12. Push Notifications
By enabling notifications, you consent to receive:
- Line approval/rejection updates
- App feature announcements (optional)
You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted here with a new "Effective Date." Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Termination
14.1 By You
You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time by contacting devkadimi@gmail.com.
14.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in abusive or harmful behavior
- Submit prohibited content repeatedly
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your account and personal data will be deleted (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Community-submitted lines may remain in the app (licensed to us)
- You must cease all use of the App
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada (or your local jurisdiction if different). Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Quebec, Canada.
16. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at devkadimi@gmail.com.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dropline regarding the App.
